On the evening of 3/15 I had to take my dog in. He was 15 congestive heart failure but in my mind and heart I wanted him to be with me always he was a stray that came into my life when I most needed him. I had to make the decision to let him cross the Rainbow Bridge. The staff here was very compassionate and caring truly listening to me letting me talk of how he came into my life. They worked with me explained everything gave me time to process and to spend time with him before proceeding. They not only took good care of my buddy but also me. I will always be thankful to them for how they took care of my Azrael and me. Will be recommending them for anyone that needs an emergency vet service Thank you again for all that you did. ❤️

I’m leaving a new 5 star review for Affiliated Veterinary ER. This was our 2nd Holiday weekend experience that we spent in this ER and this time was not the expected outcome. The kindness we received from every single member of staff was incredible. The process was sweet and personal and conducted with the utmost compassion for our dog and ourselves. These wonderful people step in during the hardest times a pet owner can have and then they do it again and again with each family that comes in. That’s dedication and commitment to its finest.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for this facility! They were there for us during our Emergency situation with our fur baby. They were able to start an IV, provide pain management, oxygen, incubator for heat, x-rays, and monitoring overnight. We were an absolute wreck when we were there, and they treated us with kindness and compassion. The veterinarian took time to explain everything in detail and I was explained the charges as they came. One of the techs even sent me pictures to update me! It was a long hard road but I’m happy to say that he has made a full recovery! Thank you!!!

The doctor and staff were all wonderful with both us and our dog. Despite them obviously being very busy, they were kind and patient with us and took care of our girl. She's doing great after our visit, and we're very grateful to everyone at Affiliated.

I cannot say enough good things about Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Service in Allen Park. We brought our cat Milo in late at night after a terrifying lily exposure. From the moment we walked in, the staff was calm, kind, and incredibly professional. They immediately took the situation seriously, explained exactly what was happening, and moved fast to start treatment. Every doctor and technician we interacted with was patient, compassionate, and extremely thorough. They walked us through every step, from the toxin treatment and IV fluids to the lab work and ongoing kidney monitoring. What meant so much to us was the communication. The veterinarians called us at every shift change and gave us detailed updates about how Milo was doing, what his labs showed, and what the plan was moving forward. Getting those updates every twelve hours made such a stressful situation feel so much more manageable. Being able to take him home knowing his kidney values stayed normal was such a relief, and that’s because of their quick action and careful monitoring over multiple days. Emergency situations are scary, but this team made a horrible night feel manageable. We are so grateful to Dr. Wright, Dr. Hawthorne, Dr. Izer, and the entire AVES team(I’m sorry for anyone that I missed) for saving our cat and treating him like family. Milo is home because of you. Thank you.

Our little buddy crossed the bridge tonight. We knew tonight he wasn't going to make it to morning to see his regular vet. These people who work there are absolutely awesome! I really mean it. He was treated great but the congested heart failure took its toll. We thought oh great here goes a 1000 dollars for Sunday evening. Nope they were very reasonable and took such good care of Sidney me and my wife till the end. Thank you to the staff!

Phenomenal staff and care. Our German Shepard collapsed on the floor at 11:00 pm. From our emergency call to strong and caring doctor and staff, our experience of a sad outcome was comforting and so professional. The office was bright, clean, so incredibly passionate. Thank you! We are missing our Venus. RIP ❤️

My cat Olaf had a medical emergency and was brought to this emergency vet but sadly passed away before arriving. Despite this, they did everything they could to bring him back, and gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes. They answered all of our questions and gave us all the time we needed. I was also happy to know that there wasn’t going to be any surprise bill - I only needed to pay for the cremation services (that I opted to pay for.) This is the first time I’ve ever dealt with an animal death, or even bringing a pet to the emergency vet, so I was expecting a large bill and this was not the case. The staff was very kind and helpful. I’m happy to know they are only 3 min away in case I ever have another emergency.

I usually don’t write reviews, but knowing how personal this is to me, I had to. We came in at 1 am in tears because my foster cat was battling kidney failure, and after a long and difficult battle, we decided it was time for her. Sadly, the stress of the situation was too much for me to remember the names of the staff and vets, but I want to express my deepest gratitude to the women who were there for both me and my cat. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness and understanding. I understand that the main complaint is the price, and that’s fair, but considering this place is open 24 hours and the closest downriver, It’s justified for me personally. Thank you to the staff and vets who helped me during that incredibly difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and support, even at 1 am when we were all delirious and exhausted.

We had to take our sweet Eddie in because he had been acting odd. On their website they recommend calling in advance, so we did. Unfortunately he had a urinary blockage and the most humane choice for our situation was to let him go. Dr L and the entire night staff were absolutely amazing. I appreciated how upfront they were with costs and we had a realistic conversation about what we could afford. The paw print we got from the service they use was beautiful and was done quickly. I cannot recommend this place enough. For some venting about the wait, sometimes waiting is the best option. I wish we were left waiting instead of being taken back right away. ❤️
